Shuffle Master board member resigns

That was quick.

Just a month after he was elected to a position on the board of directors of gaming equipment supplier Shuffle Master, Chris Philibbosian stepped down from the role.

In a statement Thursday, the company said Philibbosian needed to spend more time with his firm, which advises company presidents and CEOs.

Philibbosian is a former employee of the Greenspun Corp., where he worked with former CEO Philip Peckman.

Peckman, who now operates an outdoor advertising company, was named Shuffle Master’s chairman of the board in November.

Said Peckman on Thursday, "We are disappointed to lose Chris' contributions to our board; however, we understand and respect his need to devote time to (his business).”
