Bally systems to go in casinos in Botswana and South Africa

Bally Technologies signed a deal to provide the slot machine management system for 10 casinos in South Africa and Botswana that are operated by Peermont Group Pty. Ltd. Africa.

Bally’s system will be connected live to more than 3,200 gaming machines across Peermont’s operations. The company will replace competitors’ systems in 2012.

“The Peermont deal follows Bally’s previous contract with Sun International, effectively locking up the systems market in South Africa while increasing the company’s systems backlog to record levels,” Roth Capital Partners gaming analyst Todd Eilers said in a note to investors.
