Bally wins systems contract for Golden Nugget Atlantic City

Slot machine maker Bally Technologies picked up the systems contract for the rebranded Golden Nugget Atlantic City, the company said Tuesday.

The deal is one of several contracts the Las Vegas-based company has announced in recent weeks for slot machine and casino management systems. Financial terms weren't disclosed.

The Golden Nugget Atlantic City is the former Trump Marina. Landry's Restaurants, which also owns the Golden Nugget properties in Las Vegas and Laughlin, acquired the property for $38 million in February and is spending $100 million on upgrades.

Bally's system will connect roughly 1,500 slot machines at the property. Bally's contract with Golden Nugget Atlantic City marks the first time New Jersey casino regulators have approved an all-Windows casino-management system.
