Lucky Dragon boutique hotel to fill 800 positions by end of year

The Lucky Dragon near the north end of the Strip announced Thursday it will be hiring for 800 positions opening later this year.

Developers and owners have aimed at a 2016 opening for the Asian-focused boutique casino, 300 W. Sahara Ave., near Sahara Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard. The property also is near the Stratosphere.

The positions available are listed on LuckyDragonLV.com. The hotel is looking for staff multilingual in English and Chinese, as well as other Asian languages, according to a statement.

Positions will focus on casino operations, food and beverage operations, information technology and more. Additional positions will be listed as the hotel expands the newly launched website to include information about the property’s offerings and an online hotel room booking service.

In May, the hotel-casino was denied tax increment financing from Las Vegas City Council.

Lucky Dragon is expected to offer table games, slots machines, five restaurants, a spa, pool and tea garden, David Jacoby, the property’s chief operating officer has previously stated. It will boast 204 rooms, three bar/lounges and a 1¼-ton glass dragon sculpture.
