Pennsylvania regulators OK server-based slot system by IGT

Pennsylvania gaming regulators approved a server-based slot machine system developed by International Game Technology, making the system available for use by the state's casino industry.

IGT said more than 50 casinos in 11 countries use the system, which connects slot machines through a central server, allowing both customers and slot floor managers to change out games on an easier basis.

The system allows casinos to access more than 300 titles in IGT's game library.
