Scientific Games CFO announces retirement

Scientific Games Corp. Chief Financial Officer Scott Schweinfurth will retire at the end to the year, the slot machine and lottery giant announced Monday.
Schweinfurth, 61, was CFO at WMS Industries when Scientific Games acquired the slot machine manufacturer in 2013 for $1.5 billion. He spent more than a decade with WMS.
Schweinfurth helped with the integration of Bally Technologies, which Scientific Games acquired at the end of last year in a $5.1 billion deal.
The company said it has retained an executive search firm to help fill the position.
"We believe investors of the name have known Scott for an extended period of time and given that he was CFO during the ... mergers, the company will be without an integral member of the team," said Macquarie Securities gaming analyst Chad Beynon.
