THIS WEEK'S BUSINESS PRESS POLL QUESTION

Log onto the Las Vegas Business Press Web site and let us hear your opinion on this week's question.

Local grocery stores are already trying to encourage more shoppers to use reusable bags to cut back on the use of plastic bags, but San Francisco may go a step further. San Francisco Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi has introduced legislation intended to encourage customers to bring their own shopping bags so grocers can reduce the number of paper bags provided at checkout. The ordinance would require retailers to offer a 10-cent rebate to customers who use reusable sacks. The ordinance would also fine stores that fail to comply and is intended to help reduce the number of trees chopped down every year.

Would you support a local law to encourage grocery store customers to bring their own reusable bags with them when they shop?
