THIS WEEK'S BUSINESS PRESS POLL QUESTION
The Privé nightclub at Planet Hollywood Resort has been shut down by Clark County officials because of allegations of lewd behavior, illegal drug use and dangerous levels of alcohol and drug abuse and sexual assaults. Department of Business License Director Jacqueline Holloway refused to let the club remain open while it appeals the rejection of its liquor license. The decision came as gaming regulators are telling casino companies to improve their oversight of the nightclubs. Planet Hollywood Resort this month paid a $500,000 fine for not exercising proper oversight at the nightclub.
Do you agree that the nightclubs in Strip casinos need to be more rigorously overseen by regulators and the casinos?
