THIS WEEK'S BUSINESS PRESS POLL QUESTION

The Nevada Senate has passed a bill that would allow gay and straight domestic partners to enjoy many of the same rights as married couples, such as inheritance and parental rights. Although Gov. Jim Gibbons has threatened to veto the bill if it reaches his desk, state Sen. David Parks, D-Las Vegas, who sponsored the bill in the Senate, said passage is a good sign, "given the mood of what is happening in the country." The bill's critics say it goes too far and makes domestic partnerships too much like marriage, which violates a 2002 constitutional amendment requiring that marriage be between a man and woman.

Would you support Nevada adopting some law to give domestic partners legal rights similar to those of married couples?
