Hyperloop One announces partnership with port operator DP World

Futuristic transportation company Hyperloop One, which is testing its technology in North Las Vegas, late Monday announced a partnership with international port operator DP World.

Under the agreement, Hyperloop One will collaborate with DP World on an economic and feasibility study to determine how the technology can improve the company’s flagship port in the United Arab Emirates.

“We firmly believe that this study is the first step towards the construction of the Hyperloop in Dubai, which could reshape one of the world’s most modern cities and bring even more infrastructure innovation to the United Arab Emirates,” said Hyperloop One co-founder Shervin Pishevar, in a statement.

In July, the company announced that its first Hyperloop manufacturing plant would be in North Las Vegas.

In June, the Los Angeles-based company and The Summa Group, a firm with significant investments in Russia, announced an agreement to explore building a system in Moscow, Russia.
