LV accountants, consultancy merge

The Las Vegas certified public accounting firm Kafoury, Armstrong & Co. and Thorne & Gaydosh, a consulting and accounting firm in Henderson, recently merged.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.

In a statement, the companies said staffs would merge at once, although Thorne & Gaydosh's seven workers will remain in their Henderson office for six months. Later, the companies said, Thorne & Gaydosh's staff will move to Kafoury, Armstrong & Co.'s office on Sunset Road.

Kafoury, Armstrong & Co. has 25 workers in its Las Vegas office.

Thorne & Gaydosh shareholders Patrick Thorne, Robert Brome and Carlene Gaydosh will become shareholders in the newly merged entity.

Thorne & Gaydosh specializes in consulting, litigation support, gaming consulting and contractor's licensing support services.

Kafoury, Armstrong & Co.'s CEO is Glen Wassmuth; Tamara Miramontes is managing partner at the Las Vegas office. The company Kafoury, Armstrong & Co. has six offices across Nevada including Reno, Winnemucca, Elko, Fallon, Yerington and Las Vegas.

McDonald Carano Wilson, a law firm, named Paul Deyhle and Jacquelyn Leleu partners.

Lionel Sawyer & Collins, a law firm, named Laura Thalacker and Doreen Spears Hartwell shareholders.
