College will offer course on tax filing

The College of Southern Nevada will offer an introductory tax course from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 26 at its Downtown Learning Center, 300 N. 13th St.

The course, open to people interested in tax preparation for himself or herself or as a business, will cover tax changes; filing requirements; exemptions; tax credits; earned income credits; and deductions among other topics. The course will also demonstrate how to complete the most common Internal Revenue Service tax forms.
