Median sales price decline slows in Washoe

RENO - Median price declines for new homes in the Reno-Sparks area slowed down in the last quarter of 2009.

 

A report released Tuesday says the median sales price for a new single-family home in Washoe County in the fourth quarter of 2009 was $240,000, down 1.6 percent from the third quarter.

 

The report was issued by the University of Nevada, Reno's Center for Regional Studies.

 

Unit sales were at 111, the same number reported in the fourth quarter of 2008.

 

New home sales in 2009 were 528, down more than 50 percent from the 1,063 sales in 2008. In 2007 there were 2,087 new home sales.
