Minidocumentary series takes viewers inside Cosmopolitan

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas launched a minidocumentary series this week giving viewers a look inside the $3.9 billion hotel-casino.

"Stay," featuring interior architect David Rockwell, is the first of six behind-the-scenes videos the Cosmopolitan is releasing and posting on its Facebook fan page. The videos will also air this month on the Independent Film Channel and the Sundance Channel.

Rockwell's two-minute video walks viewers through his design vision for Cosmopolitan's 2,995 hotel rooms. He also details items in the rooms, such as nightstands, dressers and Piero Fornasetti wallpaper placed in closets.

The Cosmopolitan has seven other videos posted on its Facebook page offering viewers a look at hotel suites with wraparound terraces, a 60-second television ad and the launch of its marquee.

The company has also posted a short video of Chris Burns, director of Digital and Entertainment Curation, talking about the six Art-o-mat original-art vending machines installed on the hotel-casino's second floor.
