Construction

Korte Company has added five to its Las Vegas office. Danny Ellis, Gerald McMillen and Dan Kinney will be project superintendents; Joe Barber, a project manager and Tony DeGrechie has joined special services.

FINANCE

Clark County Credit Union named Jon Krieg financial services representative. He’ll open new accounts and help borrowers with loan approvals.

Darius Toston was named the Nevada regional diverse segments consultant for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. Toston will handle outreach to diverse communities around mortgage lending and other housing issues.

Kate Holmes, a certified financial planner from Belmore Financial LLC, has been appointed as an ambassador of the national Certified Financial Planner Board. She is one of 50 certified financial planner professionals throughout the country who have volunteered to help educate the public on the importance of having a financial plan that supports one’s life goals.

GAMING

Robert G. Goldstein was named president and CEO of Las Vegas Sands Corp. Goldstein joined Las Vegas Sands in 1995 and has served in several executive positions for the company, including president and chief operating officer of The Venetian and Palazzo and, most recently, as president of global gaming operations. Goldstein spent 15 years developing casino-hotels in both the United States and the Caribbean before joining Las Vegas Sands.

HEALTH CARE

Robin King joined HealthCare Partners Oncology/Hematology Group. King, who is board-certified in nursing and oncology nursing, brings more than 25 years of experience in compassionate patient care, coordination of home healthy and hematology/oncology care environments.

HOSPITALITY

Connections Housing named Brad Weaber chief innovation officer. Weaber will develop new strategies and initiatives to enhance the travel and housing experience for Connections’ growing client roster. With nearly 30 years of leadership experience in the meeting, events and hospitality industry, Weaber comes to Connections from the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau where he was executive vice president. Weaber’s new position follows an expansion and relocation of the company’s West Coast operations, sales and marketing office in Las Vegas.

LAW

Henderson Chamber of Commerce named Rocky Finseth, president and CEO of Carrara Nevada, as its new chief lobbyist and contract legislative counsel. Finseth has more than 25 years of experience in developing public policy at a federal, state and local level. Aside from his professional experience as a lobbyist, Finseth is a small-business owner and a member of the Henderson Chamber, which means he can relate to his fellow members’ business needs.

NONPROFIT

College of Southern Nevada named Alan M. Diskin executive director of the College of Southern Nevada Foundation. Diskin, previously spent 25 years with Junior Achievement. His most recent position was president of the Las Vegas office. Diskin continues to be involved in the Las Vegas community as an advisory board member for the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network, United Way’s Financial Stability Partnership and Downtown Achieves Education Focus.

Matt Engle with Cragin &Pike Insurance has been elected as chairman of the board of directors with the Las Vegas Natural History Museum. Engle will begin his two-year term in 2015 and lead a 15-person board.

PUBLIC RELATIONS

MassMedia hired Tiffany Hauck as an account supervisor. She brings more than seven years of public relations experience to the agency. Before joining MassMedia, Hauck served as the public relations manager at the Golden Nugget. Her past experience includes positions at marketing agencies in Southern Nevada, where she led communications initiatives for clients in the hospitality, health care and food and beverage industries.
