Applied Analysis promoted Rachel Stevens to senior analyst. Stevens will hold primary responsibilities for the day-to-day operations of the commercial real estate market research division, expand her role on litigation support assignments, and develop new research and reporting opportunities

CONSTRUCTION

The Penta Building Group named Thomas Conroy director of health care construction services. Working from the company’s Los Angeles office, Conroy’s responsibilities include ensuring the successful execution of projects for Penta’s health care clients.

R&O Construction named Kimberly Johnson marketing manager. Johnson has been in the architect/engineering/construction industry for more than 12 years.

EMPLOYMENT

Workplace ESL Solutions founder Ronna Timpa has been installed as the English in occupational settings representative for The International Association for Teaching ESL.

ENGINEERING

Geotechnical & Environmental Services Inc. named Michael Banak welding special inspector for the GES Las Vegas office. Banak brings vast knowledge of welding and steel inspections to the company.

HEALTH CARE

Dr. Robert McBeath was named chief executive officer of Southwest Medical Associates. McBeath will oversee nine health care centers, three convenient care clinics as well as several specialty services including the company’s surgery center.

Nevada-based not-for-profit health insurance alternative Nevada Health CO-OP named Tom Zumtobel CEO. Zumtobel has more than 20 years of experience in the medical field and was most recently president of the Culinary Health Fund.

IRRIGATION

DIG Corp. named Ty Johnson commercial sales manager. Johnson’s passion for green technology coupled with his sales experience will help DIG expand its presence within the commercial market.

LAW

Shea & Carlyon founding partner James Patrick Shea has joined Armstrong Teasdale with three of his colleagues from the Las Vegas-based boutique commercial insolvency and litigation law firm. Shea is a partner in Armstrong Teasdale’s financial and real estate services practice group. Counsels Tracy M. O’Steen and Scott D. Fleming, and associate Brandon P. Johansson also joined the practice group.

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck named Adam R. Fulton an associate in the litigation group. Fulton’s practice focuses on complex litigation, with a special emphasis on construction-related disputes, breach of contract and landlord-tenant disputes.

Marquis Aurbach Coffing has hired attorneys Eric S. Powers and Christian T. Balducci. Powers practices commercial litigation and complex civil litigation with a focus on representation of corporations, businesses and insurance companies, while Balducci practices in all spectrums of commercial and complex civil litigation.
