QVegas Business Alliance becomes Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce of Nevada

QVegas Business Alliance has a new name.

Now the Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce of Nevada, the organization changed its name and launched a new branding campaign to closer align itself with the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. The chamber’s board of directors approved the name change as part of a new branding strategy in preparation for 11th annual National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce Business and Leadership Conference to be held next summer at Caesars Palace.

As the local affiliate for the national chamber, the Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce of Nevada provides the gateway for Nevada-based, LGBT-owned businesses to become certified through the national supplier diversity initiative.

“We’re becoming a voice within the Las Vegas business community. Our support spans commercial and municipal sectors, and we participate in economic and development opportunities throughout the region. Bringing our relationship with NGLCC to the region enables LGBT business owners to participate in corporate supplier diversity programs in Nevada and throughout the country,” said Russ White, chamber founder and president. White also owns QVegas Magazine.

Based in Las Vegas, the chamber previously served the local metropolitan area, but the new name also changes the scope of the organization, which will be reaching out to communities across Nevada. the Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce of Nevada’s mission is to advocate, promote and facilitate the success of LGBT and ally businesses in the Las Vegas region and the entire state.
