Trader Joe’s to open new store in Summerlin
Trader Joe’s is opening a new location later this year in the Shops at Summerlin, 2315 Summa Drive. The 11,700-square-foot store will open in the second half of 2014. An average Trader Joe’s is 10,000-15,000 square feet.
“It’s a wonderful community and we’re looking forward to being part of this new neighborhood,” said spokeswoman Alison Mochizuki.
The new location will be similar to other Trader Joe’s, with 80 percent of what they sell under the brand’s private label. The company now has four Southern Nevada stores, and more than 400 stores in 37 states. Trader Joe’s is planning to open at least 13 new stores nationwide this year, with four opening in late February.
