Wells Fargo will hold session for prospective homeowners
May 3, 2012 - 1:02 am
Wells Fargo is holding its free Neighborhood Lift workshop Friday and Saturday at the Riviera to assist potential home buyers with up to $15,000 in down payment grants.
Wells Fargo loan specialists will be available from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day to explain the program and take applications.
The Neighborhood Lift program is designed to attract qualified home buyers to neighborhoods struggling with high inventories of unsold homes. Neighborhood Housing Services of Southern Nevada is offering up to $15,000 in down payment assistance grants to home buyers who purchase in the city limits of Las Vegas. Homeowners who live in their home for at least five years will be forgiven of the grant.
Qualifications include income guidelines of 120 percent of annual median income, or about $79,200 for a family of four.
Wells Fargo has a five-year goal of providing $1 billion in mortgage loans in Las Vegas, and a $9 million investment the bank is making this year down payment assistance.
Registration information for the workshop is available at www.neighborhoodlift.com.
