World Series of Poker Main Event underway
The 41st World Series of Poker Main Event started at 12:05 p.m. with 2004 champion Greg Raymer exclaiming "Shuffle up and deal!"
Today marks the first of four days of the $10,000 buy-in no-limit Texas hold 'em world championship at the Rio.
The event runs through July 17 with the final nine returning in November to decide the champion.
Number of entrants and prize pool will not be known until Thursday evening.
Last year's main event winner claimed $8.5 million.
