16-year-old remains on life support after near-drowning

A 16-year-old boy was transported to the hospital after he was found unresponsive in a backyard pool, according to Las Vegas Police.
Officers responded at about 11:15 a.m. to a possible drowning in the 4000 block of Wendy Lane, near Lamb Boulevard and Alexander Road. The boy was found face-down in the pool.
Police said the boy, who is described as having special needs, was taken to University Medical Center where he remained unresponsive but on life-support late Saturday.
