71-year-old motorcyclist who died in hit-and-run identified

Police are examining a vehicle found after a hit-and-run crash that left a motorcyclist dead on a busy boulevard in the southeast Las Vegas area.

The Clark County coroner on Thursday identified the dead man as 71-year-old Dennis M. Grady of Las Vegas.

Police officials said witnesses saw a driver in what was described as a dump truck leave the scene after rolling over the motorcyclist after he fell a little before 3 p.m. Wednesday on northbound Boulder Highway near Nellis Boulevard.

Police say they located a vehicle and collected evidence that's being processed.

The truck driver has not been identified.

Police say it was the 53rd traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas police jurisdiction in 2012.
