Barricade situation leaves police still searching for suspect

Las Vegas police are still searching for a man who they believe barricaded himself inside his home after a domestic dispute Sunday evening.

Police were called to the house in the 7600 block of Mesa Verde Lane, near Robindale Road and Buffalo Drive, at 6:09 p.m. Police believed family members of the suspect may have been trapped inside the house with the man, who they believe may have been armed.

S.W.A.T. units and negotiators were called to the scene.

Nearly four hours after the incident was reported, S.W.A.T. units entered the residence. The suspect, however, was no where to be found.

Many of the streets near the residence were shut down due to the police activity, but all were cleared and open shortly after 10 p.m.
