Boy in serious condition after hit-and-run crash

A hit-and-run crash near East Bonanza Road and North Eastern Avenue on Monday left an 11-year-old boy in serious condition, according to Las Vegas police.

Police responded to the collision just before 9:30 p.m. A westbound 1994 Honda Civic went off the Bonanza and onto the sidewalk, striking the boy.

The driver drove off, but the car was found later in a nearby neighborhood. The driver is still at large.

The boy was taken to University Medical Center. The accident remains under investigation.
