Bullhead City man convicted of 2010 murder

KINGMAN, Ariz. - A Bullhead City, Ariz., man has been convicted of an October 2010 murder.

A Mohave County Superior Court jury deliberated eight hours over two days before finding Arthur A. Leyba, 35, guilty Thursday of first-degree murder, misconduct involving weapons, burglary and attempted armed robbery.

Prosecutor Doug Camacho argued that Leyba shot and killed Ronnie W. Trainer, 32, during a drug debt confrontation in Trainer's home.

Leyba's girlfriend, Rebecca Dee Sklar-Graboswki, is serving a three-year prison term for hindering prosecution of the case by transporting Leyba from the scene and being present when he tossed the weapon into the Colorado River.

Leyba faces at least 25 years in prison . He is scheduled to be sentenced in January.
