July 28, 2015 - 4:50 pm
The Clark County coroner's office Tuesday confirmed what Las Vegas police suspected in a northwest valley homicide investigation.
A man found dead Monday in a house with the door kicked in was shot to death, the coroner's office said. He was identified as Richard Ennik Hall, 63, of Las Vegas.
Hall died from a gunshot wound to the chest, the coroner's office said, and his death was officially ruled a homicide.
Police found him about 5:10 a.m. Monday in a home in the 3000 block of Panama Beach Dr., near the intersection of Rampart Avenue and Cheyenne Boulevard.
Officers were already in the area investigating a different call when they saw a wide open door at the house. They went in to see if everything was OK and found the body. Investigators said he appeared to have been shot.
This marks the 61st homicide investigation in Metro's jurisdiction this year.
