County animal control officer arrested on child prostitution charge

A Clark County official has been arrested on child prostitution charges.

Donald Coburn, 46, code enforcement officer for the county’s Animal Control division, was arrested Saturday on a charge of soliciting or engaging in child prostitution, Las Vegas police said.

County officials said Coburn has worked with the county for more than 10 years but has been in his current position for less than a year.

His employment status is unclear, but officials said Coburn will not be interacting with the public and likely will be suspended while the county investigates the arrest.

He was booked at the Clark County jail on $5,000 bail.
