Homeowner shoots at break-in suspects, one captured while other still loose

Police are searching for a suspect after another suspect was shot during a home break-in attempt Friday night.

The break-in occurred about 9:15 p.m. in the 4200 block of San Alivia Court, near Southern Highlands and St. Rose parkways.

According to police, the homeowner shot at the men as they attempted to break in. The suspects then fled, leaving their backpacks behind.

Metro spokesman Bill Cassell confirmed that one suspect was shot and captured while the other remains free. He said both appear to be juveniles.
