House fire kills two dogs

Careless smoking started a house fire Wednesday that killed two dogs and caused an estimated $142,000 damage, the North Las Vegas Fire Department said Thursday.
Firefighters with North Las Vegas, Las Vegas and Clark County responded to the blaze about 2:20 p.m. at 2134 Crawford St., near Lake Mead Boulevard and Belmont Street.
The fire was extinguished within 10 minutes.
Three men survived the fire.
