Las Vegas bail bondsman accused of holding client, children at gunpoint

Authorities have arrested two Las Vegas bail bondsmen accused of breaking down a client’s door and holding her and her children at gunpoint while robbing them.

Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto said 61-year-old John Kevin McCabe was arrested Monday, while 48-year-old Charles McChesney turned himself in on Wednesday.

McCabe is a licensed bail agent who runs Boomer’s Bail Bonds, while McChesney is a bail enforcement agent who uses the company name Justice Inc.

McCabe is accused of making $14,000 in unauthorized charges on a client’s credit cards in June 2010, then kidnapping her and forcing her to turn over more money after she stopped payments.

The two are also accused of breaking down a client’s door and robbing her of electronics and a car in January 2011.
