Las Vegas woman pleads guilty to two felony drug charges

A Las Vegas woman charged in a multi-state $1.7 million drug trafficking organization has pleaded guilty to two felonies.

Reina Tomiko Nakachi, also known as "Miko," operated bank accounts for drug dealers and bought high-priced cars with drug profits, according to federal prosecutors in Portland, Ore. Authorities seized thousands of pills of oxycodone, money, five handguns, marijuana and crack cocaine from several states, including Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Texas and Florida.

She pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute oxycodone and conspiracy to launder drug proceeds, according to her plea agreement. A third felony was dropped.

Nakachi was indicted along with more than 15 other people, including Las Vegan Kingsley "Kings" Osemwengie, 25. Osemwengie's case was pending.

The case was investigated by a Portland-based task force consisting of several federal agencies, including the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Internal Revenue Service. The Metropolitan Police Department also aided the investigation.

Nakachi will be sentenced in October.
