Man arrested for 2007 Strip shooting of four

A man who police say is a Las Vegas gang member and responsible for a 2007 Strip shooting that injured four people was arrested Friday in Chicago.

Las Vegas police said Robert Jackson, alleged to be a member of the Squad Up gang, is accused of firing five shots from a handgun at members of the Wood gang after an early morning brawl involving 20 people in front of Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville.

The shots missed the gang members and hit four bystanders, all of whom survived the Aug. 19, 2007, shooting.

Jackson was identified as the shooter shortly after the incident. He was charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, attempted murder with a deadly weapon, battery with a deadly weapon with substantial bodily harm, battery with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon and for being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm.

In February, Jackson was placed on the U.S. Marshals Service Most Wanted list. He was then featured on the Fox television show "America's Most Wanted."

Jackson awaits extradition to Las Vegas.
