Man arrested in Las Vegas home invasion, sexual assault

A 19-year-old man was arrested Saturday in connection with a home invasion and violent sexual assault last week, Las Vegas police said.

Police said Kyle Wilson was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on various recommended charges including sexual assault, sexual assault with a deadly weapon, battery with intent to commit sexual assault, home invasion, first-degree kidnap and battery with the intent to commit robbery.

He had been linked to several other burglaries, police said.

The latest assault occurred Wednesday morning near Las Vegas Boulevard and Alexander Road. Police said Wilson entered the home believing it was un­occupied but beat and sexually assaulted a female after unexpectedly confronting her.

The investigation is ongoing.
