Man arrested in stabbing also wanted in California

The man accused of stabbing his girlfriend to death Sunday was a fugitive from California.

Ricardo Glasgow, 53, was booked in Las Vegas on a murder charge Monday in the death of 49-year-old Sharon Jones.

Glasgow told Jones, “Nobody in this house can save you,” as he stabbed her several times on front of a group of women begging him to stop, his arrest report said.

Glasgow was a fugitive from California wanted for a parole violation related to a 2005 attempted murder. Details of that case were not known Tuesday.

Las Vegas police said Glasgow stabbed Jones to death just before midnight after an argument at a home at 1550 Silver Knoll Ave., near Maryland Parkway and Silverado Ranch Boulevard.

Witnesses told police they tried to stop Glasgow from stabbing Jones, but he would not stop. When officers arrived, they saw two women on the roof hiding from Glasgow, who was outside wearing a bloodstained shirt and carrying a knife, according to the arrest report.

Police said Jones did not listen to officers and returned inside the home.

“Come get me. Come see what I’m doing,” the report said Glasgow told officers.

Officers entering the home saw Glasgow straddling Jones’ body and holding a knife. He asked officers to shoot him but was arrested after an officer used a stun gun, the report said.

He was booked at Clark County Detention Center. Jones died at University Medical Center.
