Man shot at apartment complex at Boulder Highway and Flamingo
A man was shot in the belly at an apartment complex in east Las Vegas on Tuesday evening, police say.
Officers responded around 7 p.m. to Boulder Highway and Flamingo Road after getting reports of gunshots and screaming in an apartment complex courtyard, Las Vegas police Lt. Mark Reddon said.
They found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with critical injuries, but was expected to live.
Apartment security reported a second man shot, but police weren’t able to find him, Reddon said.
Officers got a tip that the shooters might be inside an apartment unit so a SWAT team went to the scene to investigate. As of 9 p.m., they hadn’t made contact with anyone in the unit and police suspected it might be empty.
