2 men sentenced to prison for killing over COVID-19 loan dispute

Police were investigating the stabbing death of a man in Mesquite on Saturday night.

Mesquite Police said 50-year-old Michael Eldredge of Mesquite was stabbed about 6:20 p.m. near Mesquite Boulevard and Sandhill Boulevard. Eldredge died at Mesa View Regional Hospital.

Ryan Wood, 43, of Mesquite, was arrested by Las Vegas police officers near Logandale later that evening.

Las Vegas crime scene investigators processed the scene, and Mesquite detectives handled the investigation.
