Metro seeks man in east valley store robbery

Las Vegas police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man in an east valley convenience store robbery earlier this month.

Metro released pictures Tuesday night of a man they said jumped over the counter and robbed two employees with a semi-automatic handgun before running away with the money. The late-night release did not include additional information, but Metro dispatch logs show the robbery occurred about 7:44 p.m. on Aug. 8 at the Green Valley Grocery at 7121 E. Lake Mead Blvd.

Police described the man in his early 20s as standing about 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call Metro's Robbery Section at 702-828-3591.
