Metro seeks man involved in fatal east valley shooting

Metro on Monday asked for the public's aid in identifying a man connected to a September 2014 fatal shooting.

Launde White, 25, of Las Vegas, was killed Sept. 21, 2014, after being shot in the chest and head, the Clark County coroner's office said.

Metro said that the shooter walked up to a backyard in the 3700 block of Kolanut Lane, near Lake M ead Boulevard and Pecos Road, where White was at the time.

The shooter tried buying drugs at the house, but was turned away and returned a few minutes later, about 5:30 a.m., Metro said. He fought White before shooting him.

The shooter, who fled on foot, was described by Metro as being a black man in his late 20s or early 30s with a "large muscular build." He stands about 5 feet 11 inches and had a shaved head.
