Mother of two children who died in fire arrested

The mother of two of the three children killed in a June mobile home fire in Las Vegas was arrested Thursday on charges of second-degree murder and child neglect, according to the county booking logs.

Amy Hatzenfiller, 26, was being held on at the Clark County Detention Center on $600,000 bail.

Shane Gouailhardou, 22, the father of the third child killed in the fire, was arrested Sunday and is being held on the same bail.

Hatzenfiller, whose last name was previously reported as Hatzenpiller, and Gouailhardou were indicted Dec. 19 on three counts each of second-degree murder and child abuse and neglect.

Skylar Lafia, 2, Aryana Lafia, 1, and David Gouailhardou, 2, were all killed in the June 15 fire at Van's Trailer Oasis.

Both parents managed to escape the fire, at 3610 Las Vegas Blvd. North near Lamb Boulevard, with no injuries.

If convicted, Hatzenfiller and Gouailhardou could face 10-year to life prison terms for each murder charge and two- to 20-year terms for each child abuse and neglect count.
