Police: 1 man dead, 2 suspects on loose

Police say one man is dead following a shooting Saturday night in North Las Vegas.

North Las Vegas police received 911 calls at about 7:30 p.m. about gunfire at an apartment complex near Cheyenne Avenue and Pecos Road.

Upon arrival to 3435 East Cheyenne Road, officers found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Police said witnesses reported gunfire exchange, after which two men fled the scene.

When medical personnel arrived, they pronounced the 33-year-old man dead at the scene, according to police.

Neither suspect was found as of Sunday morning, and police hadn’t released descriptions.

This is North Las Vegas’ seventh murder in 2013. The Clark County coroner’s office will release the man’s identity.
