Police: 28-year-old posed as Mormon missionary to beat, rob man

A man who Las Vegas police say posed as a Mormon missionary to carry out a violent robbery has been arrested and police are still searching for the second suspect.

Abraham Austin, 28, was arrested without incident on Aug. 23.

Police say Austin and Robert Estall, who has not yet been arrested, beat and robbed a man after posing as Mormon missionaries at his door on June 27.

Austin faces charges including battery with a deadly weapon, two counts of first-degree kidnapping and conspiracy to commit robbery.

He was being held without bail at Clark County Detention Center and was scheduled for a court hearing Tuesday morning.
