Police identify man slain by brother

A man who police said was shot and killed Sunday by his brother was identified Monday.

Brian Joseph Enright, 25, of Las Vegas was shot and killed by Thomas Enright, 34, Las Vegas police said Monday. Thomas Enright was arrested Sunday on suspicion of murder and was booked into Clark County Detention Center .

The shooting happened about 12:41 p.m. Sunday at 6365 Whispering Clouds Court, near Jones Boulevard south of state Route 160.

According to Thomas Enright's arrest report, he called 911 and told a dispatcher he had just shot his brother. Police discovered Brian Enright with a gunshot wound, lying in a doorway.

The report said Thomas Enright told police that his brother started a fight with him and struck him several times in the head. Thomas Enright told police he was knocked out several times during the fight.

The report said that Thomas Enright remembered waking up with a gun in his hand as his brother fell to the ground with a gunshot wound.
