Police seek man in Tuesday bank robbery

North Las Vegas police need the public's help to identify a man they said robbed a bank Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the man had a handgun and gave the bank employee a note demanding money. He took an undisclosed amount and left.

Police responded to the 2400 block of East Centennial Parkway, near Losee Road, about 1 p.m. Police did not release the name of the bank, but there are two within a block of that intersection, including a Bank of America and an American First Credit Union.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Police described the man as about 40 years old and estimate he is about 5-feet-6-inches tall and weighs 300 pounds. Photos from a surveillance camera were also released.

On Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at about 1:00 p.m., officers responded to the regarding a robbery to a bank. Witnesses reported a man armed with a handgun presented the bank teller a note and demanded an undisclosed amount of cash. The man took the money and fled the scene.
