Police seek suspect in fatal shooting

Las Vegas police are searching for a man in his mid-20s in connection with a Sunday central valley slaying.

Police said the suspect is a black man who is 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was last seeing wearing a red T-shirt and blue suede shoes. Police did not release his name.

The identity of the man who was killed has not been released by the Clark County coroner's office. The victim was described by investigators as between the ages of 20 and 30.

Police said the shooting occurred about 4:45 p.m. on the 1400 block of F Street, near Harrison Avenue, west of Interstate 15. Witnesses heard between eight and 10 shots fired, police said. Officers found the victim inside the courtyard of the Island Court apartments.

Three men were taken into custody Sunday night about two hours after the shooting. Police said no motive had been determined in the slaying.

Police could not be reached for comment late Monday for an update in the case.
