Producer offers Stripper 101 teachers $1 million for ‘the truth’

Las Vegas show producer David Saxe is ready to pony up $1 million for the truth.

The man behind a number of shows on the Strip has offered seven figures to a group of Stripper 101 teachers if they pass a lie detector test. The five women are suing Saxe over hidden cameras installed in the room where the Stripper 101 class takes place.

Saxe said their lawsuit is frivolous and he's using his challenge to prove it.

"Since they like to lie to get money, I figured this would be an even better opportunity for them," he said in a written statement.

Plaintiffs Rachael Carter, Lana Stewart, Jill Sutherin, Kindra Kroll and Nicole Cherry taught Stripper 101, where, for $40, any woman can learn how to seductively shimmy and shake like the pros. The class has been held in the lounge above the V Theater at Aladdin's Desert Passage mall since 2006.

They said they discovered two discreet cameras in January in the lounge, which served as both a performance stage and a dressing area where "some of the customers even disrobe and get down to their underwear" because of "assurances that there are no cameras in the room," their lawsuit states.

The lawsuit, whose defendants include Saxe, his production company and several employees, includes claims of invasion of privacy, conspiracy and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

The plaintiffs' lawyer, Eva Garcia Mendoza, did not return a call for comment.

Saxe said the cameras were installed as part of a security surveillance system, which are commonly used throughout casinos and were not used to watch women in various stages of undress, he said.

"Lawsuits can take years and I can't wait another day to clear my name, that's why I am challenging my accusers to a lie detector test," he said.

He will pay the women $1 million if they pass the test. But if they fail, they must pay him $500,000. He would donate that money to a charity "that helps business owners fight extortion and malicious prosecution," he said.

"So there it is, if they are telling the truth, they have nothing to lose and will collect $1 million," he said.
