Retired Nevada Supreme Court Chief Justice Bob Rose is recovering at a Fallon hospital from injuries he suffered in a car accident, according to a report from Reno.

State Supreme Court spokesman Bill Gang said the 73-year-old Rose injured his ribs and sternum in Monday morning’s crash, but the injuries are not considered life-threatening

District Judge Thomas Stockard said he visited Rose at Banner-Churchill Community Hospital. He was lucid and already concerned about who would preside over drug court hearings for Fallon, Hawthorne and Yerington, Stockard said.

The senior judgewas headed there from his home in Carson City when the Nevada Highway Patrol said he was involved in a roll-over accident somewhere between Interstate 80 and U.S. Highway 50.
