Teen on bike hospitalized after being struck by car

A teenager riding a bicycle was hospitalized with a head injury after a crash Tuesday afternoon.

Las Vegas police said the 16-year-old was struck about 1:20 p.m. by a 1996 Mazda at the intersection of Levi Avenue and Torrey Pines Drive, near Desert Oasis High School in the southwest valley.

The teen was taken to University Medical Center in unknown condition.
