Two arrested in marijuana dispensary bust

Las Vegas police arrested two people accused of operating an illegal marijuana dispensary Thursday.

Daniel Afari was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, conspiracy to violate the uniform control substance act, sale of marijuana, possession of cocaine and maintaining a place to sell a controlled substance.

Police said 40 plants valued at $100,000 were found after a search warrant was served at Afari's residence in the 700 block of Donelle Avenue. Two other search warrants were served at Afari's business, Premium Remedy's, at 8390 S. Maryland Parkway, and at a residence in the 700 block of Carnegie Street.

Christina Rand was also arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to sell and conspiracy to violate the uniform control substance act.

Both were booked into Clark County Detention Center.
