Two injured in shooting near Vegas Drive, Jones Boulevard

Two people were injured in a late-night shooting Thursday near the intersection of Vegas Drive and Jones Boulevard, according to Las Vegas police.

Police responded to reports just after 11 p.m. of multiple gunshots. Witnesses said a verbal altercation led to the gunfire and multiple people were involved.

The two victims, believed to be in their late teens or early 20s, were transported to University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Gang and violent crime detectives are searching for the suspect or suspects and a possible motive.
