Woman plummets to her death at MGM Grand

Las Vegas police confirmed Thursday they are investigating the death of a Las Vegas woman who either fell or jumped 35 stories at the MGM Grand on Tuesday.

Sgt. John Sheahan said it's too early in the investigation to determine whether the woman fell accidentally or committed suicide.

The Clark County coroner's office identified the woman as 46-year-old Lisa Demaria. The cause and manner of Demaria's death are pending.

According to the coroner's office, Demaria was pronounced dead at 5 p.m. Police records from Tuesday indicate they were called to the MGM Grand at 3:24 p.m.
